From Us to You: The Sun Really is Rising!

Wow! MUF2022 is only 3 weeks away!

We can’t wait to see your sunny faces at MUF2022!

With the Victorian Government taking steps to ease restrictions, we felt the sun really is rising on our Festival.

We hope everyone will be able to enjoy MUF 2022 with a supportive and inclusive spirit where we can let music wash away the past two years and reenergize us all.

So many of the acts we are presenting have told us that MUF2020 was the last gig they played at before the pandemic hit, and that MUF2022 is their first gig back!

We all know how hard the music and events community has been impacted these last two years and we are hugely proud to be part of bringing live music and music community back to the stage.

Dig into the Festival website www.muf.org.au and work out how many ways you can enjoy MUF2022!

MUF Uke Tip!

Organising a Festival is exhausting! Especially if you are trying to write songs as well, so here is a fancy low effort, but high impact tip for all you song writers out there:

Next time you have a riff, the chord sequence and 2 verses sorted out, but just can’t bring it home with a 3rd verse, try singing the first verse again in French!

We have a FREE SONGWRITING PANEL on Sunday 20 March at 315pm in the Chalice Church.

If you have ever thought you would like to be that singer-songwriter on stage, then this panel is for you!

MUF is delighted to offer an open and free one hour discussion panel that could launch you on the path to songwriting.

A panel session MC’d by Michael Dwyer from MUF favourites, The Thin White Ukes, will take you through the tips, tricks and experience of some amazing songwriters.

Join our amazing Panel -

  • Jane Cameron

  • Craig Barrie and Nicki Johnson (All the Way Home)

  • Bernard de la Coeur (The Brass Traps)

  • Yanai Morris (Uke4Kids)

. . . all popular stalwarts of the ukulele world and accomplished songwriters to unpack and reveal the secrets of lyric and melody.

Learn from some of the best! Throw them your questions and come away inspired to write your own songs for MUF 2023!

What a way to round out your Festival experience!
