Here Comes the MUF!
We are delighted to announce that the awesome and dangerous Ukulele Death Squad will be part of our headline lineup on Saturday night along with Tuck Shop Ladies, Yanai Morris and Melbourne Ukulele Kollective!
We are also excited to announce that we have secured the fantastic Thornbury Theatre as our Saturday night venue. The Thornbury Theatre is a large high-quality venue that will showcase our artists and give our audience the best experience possible.
This year we are introducing early bird ticketing! The perfect present to buy yourself or someone who loves ukulele and put up on your fridge to look forward to savouring in the new year.
Full Festival pass (everything except workshops), day performance passes and concert tickets are available at a special price now from HERE!
We also have an amazing line up for workshops that are separately ticketed. These will be announced and tickets available soon!
MUF 2022 is on 18 + 19 + 20 March 2022 in and around Northcote in Melbourne’s inner north.
From Us to You
Imagine trying to organise a major community event during a pandemic! That has been the Committee’s life for the last 18 months. Zoom meetings, then face-to-face, back to zoom, back to face-to-face! CRAZY! But we have made it and the Festival planning is well underway.
We think we have a great lineup of performers, workshops and vendors that will offer musical styles and development opportunities for all players. Some of Australia’s best ukulele performers are booked and are incredibly excited to be part of MUF 2022 … we cannot wait to tell you more!
We are even looking to bring some exciting new elements to the Festival this year and especially focus on community since we have been apart for so long.

MUF Uke Tip!
As we open up, its time to check your strings! Run your nail (gently) under your strings and feel for pitting over the frets. If you can feel where the fret is wearing away the string, it is probably time to think about replacing them. Nothing worse than breaking a string just as the jam starts!
How You Can be Involved!
Consider Volunteering at MUF
Give back to your Festival as a Volunteer. Many roles will be required and you will be recognised as one the team who made MUF 2022 happen! More information on Volunteering in the near future.
Performing at MUF
Hey you may not be on the bill, but there are still plenty of opportunities to perform at MUF 2020!
No matter if this is your first time on stage or not, you can participate in the Festival as a performer on the walk-up Blackboard Stage in the Chalice Hall and the Klub MUF Open Mic Stage at Bar 303!
